After graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1995 with a degree in Illustration, Matt Swaim has focused his career on high-quality architectural renderings and presentations. With over twenty three years in the rendering profession, eight of which were under the tutelage of Robert C. Winters of Jacksonville, Florida, Matt has illustrated well over a thousand renderings in a variety of styles and techniques for clients throughout the United States, and abroad.

His work has been featured in numerous publications and has been awarded the American Society of Architectural Illustrators’ internationally juried competition, Award of Excellence three times. He has been awarded Jacksonville’s AIA Lynda Mack award, and his work has been included in The American Society of Architectural Illustrator’s Architecture in Perspective traveling exhibit, The New York Society of Architectural Renderers’ The Art of the Architectural Illustrator, in New York City and in the Japanese Architectural Renders Association’s 2012 Exhibition of Architectural Visualization.

Studio-Swaim’s styles and techniques provide clients with an illustration of professional quality along with the personal touch that they desire. The studio’s objective for each project is to work in conjunction with the client to provide the most effective presentation and sales tool for the project. Whether it is a small sketch, a computer wire frame, a digital watercolor, or a full-sized formal hand-rendered illustration, the objective remains the same: to provide the best quality service combined with the best quality rendering in a process that is easily to understood and enjoyable for the client.

Outside of architectural illustration, Matt also works in colored pencil focusing on portraiture and is also an avid field sketcher. Both his architectural work and color pencil work have been featured in Jacksonville’s Arbus magazine and his color pencil work and sketches have been selected for inclusion in Northlight book’s Strokes of Genius 5 and 6.
